Forgot about these from a while back, really enjoyable using a housing unit and glad I picked one up...definitely adds an element to being in the water

Just thought id throw them up while I have some time, any comments welcome...

That one with the shoal of yellow fish looks like it could be Windows wallpaper :)

    They're very nice.

Did you have to buy a special camera to take these or can you get some sort of watertight case for the one you already have? I'm doing scuba (and studying marine bio) in college this year so I'd love to be able to take a camera down with me.

    Hi FreeAnd...
Nice photos, I particularly like the turtle.

I'm also a keen scuba diver, I occasionally take photos underwater but find that it can detract from the dive somewhat.

    Wow.

Turtle and the shoal side on in particular, and that clam looks gigantic, imagine if that had a tongue.

They're very sharp shots for underwater with no flash too, well done, very impressive.

Great shots - the shoal of yellow fish pic is excellent. By the absence of shopping trolleys, I'm guessing that these pics were not taken in the Grand Canal.

Where were they taken, and what gear did you use ?

thanks all for the comments, these were all taken on the West Coast of Australia (Coral Bay and Torquoise Bay) with the Canon G7 using the dedicated underwater housing unit...cant rememember the exact name for it...I bought it in perth after making the mistake of not getting one in Bangkok and then not being able to get one and missing some unreal photos around Thailand...

I would definitely reccommend them and the underwater video is great too...managed to get a few uploaded but its not easy as I dont have internet access at the moment...Underwater Videos
