well, after been driven crazy by my disc brake i dropped it into the shop, had new pads fitted and had it readjusted, took it out for a spin and noticed that there is a slight rubbing sound ( again , previously had a rub which got worse which is why i dropped the bike in in the first place ) just wondering, when you spin the wheel do you hear anything or should it be completely silent ( as my front wheel is )

i basically dont want to go back to the shop where i left it on friday, moaning over something which could be comletely normal and unavoidable! there is only a slight rub and a hint of a squeal when rolled backwards slowly,, but i fear the beast shreek will return:eek:

If it's just a slight rub you might just have a slight warp in the rotor, nothing to worry about so long as you're not actually being braked by it as you're cycling, then it's a total pain in the ar.se. About the squeal - this is frequently caused by something as simple as grease or oils getting on the disc and pads, to get rid of this I use MucOff disc brake cleaner. Follow the simple instructions and it does the job excellent.
