Just wondering what people make of this. huh.

It's hardly an 'avantgarde documentary'. More like a pile o'****e some poncey wannabes put together and stuck up on YouTube.

something that bothers me about avant garde in digital filmmaking. It always feels less focused then avante garde done in film. Its much easier (and cheaper then spend an afternoon messing around with a friend and creating the surrelism during the editing process then to construct the surrelism as a goal from the offset.

Also like Anonoboy says youtube is not the enviroment for such things as the website has proven time and time again that the reality of how some people live and think tends to outdo any form of fiction.

On the above video...the but near the begining with the knife cutting was uncomfortable enough that it worked to an extent and very much reminded me of the most famous of surrealist sequences, the rest of it though doesnt really work and does feel like a evening of frolic was edited to make it look like something more.

had to go youtube the classic for a comparison :D
