    Hi,

We recently put together a web-site for the club and i would like some feed back on ways to make it better or improve it.

It is pretty much complete with the exception of tournament winners, which needs to be updated (we dont really get Sly, leo and madge in the room) but the format is there so we dont have to cut the pics when we have them.

Feed back please dont pull your punches

    Thanks Ross.

If you like the web-site would recommend the guy who put it together he is easy to deal with and seems good value for money,

Let me know and i will pass on his details.

"and 5% of the pot, capped (over €11) in rake."

I was tempted by the big omaha cash game but it appeared to be 5% uncapped rake, the above from the website indicates there is a cap, could you clarify, cheers.

Website looks good, but it takes a bit too much effort to try to read the small white text on the green background.

    looks nice. :)

Navigation buttons down the left side, an Ace shows when cursor over the button but the image is too big for the button. Looks bad.

    Rake,

    Ok here goes again.

Our rake is 5% of the pot capped at €25. We dont rake pots under €11

I would also like to mention,

    1. We dont charge for membership.
    2. All food, refreshment and beer are free.
    3. We have a free bad beat, nothing comes out of the pot for that.
    4. We add 10% to every tournament prize pool, with discussion with club members it was thought this was the best way to build the business.
    5. The rake is 100% transarent in every pot.
    6. We add €500 to the cash league and pay for the running, staff and organisation and all the freebies on that night, last cash league final night cost the club in excess of €2000.
7.We have the best V.I.P benefits for frequent players in Ireland. 9 players from the club only paid half of their Killarney buy-in. Also Free UFC 93 tickets for all V.I.P's
    8. We offer a totall free Poker tournament every Saturday night.
    9. We do everything we can to offer the best T.V entertainment, inc pay per view boxing, setanta etc.
    10. We offer 100% cash prizes in all tournaments no tickets etc.

Last night we had 3 cash tables all night, 2 Holdem and 1 Omaha, I would say 80% of the people on those tables would have played in The Fitz, Jackpot or Sports so I believe if you play in the club regularly you will believe the club offers excellent value for money.

I wasnt having a go and realise that clubs have costs, you can charge whatever you want but you should probably mention that there is a cap when advertising the 5% bit, from reading the other thread I assumed it was uncapped which completely turned me off playing the game.

Thanks Snapper, for the link help, i'm a bit slow sometimes.

The only changes I think should be made is the naviagation image as per the snapper's comment. The background color of the website is fine, just make it more smoother so that the white text would stand out better. But other than that, I think this website looks very good presentation-wise and if updated regularly, it'll serve as the benchmark to other card clubs who are a bit slow to update theirs...

Ross, the site looks great and divided well into the relevant different sections.

The one thing I would say, and I advise anyone who has a website this, is to make sure the information contained is bang up to date. The website should be your first point of call for all things related to the club.

Once the initial website design & layout has been decided upon it's all down to the accuracy & relevance of the information contained within.

    :D

I think the layout is nice, apart from the Guiness chips? And maybe some of the text is a bit hard to read on certain pages, aprt from that, really nice template
