DVD records RTÉ 1 when it is set to record TG4. Why?

Anybody know why my DVD recorder records RTÉ 1 when I set it (on timer) to record TG4. This happens all the time. Stations on DVD recorder were automatically downloaded from TV set.

    All help appreciated.

Presumably because TG4 is not where your recorder expects it to be.

    Are you using Videoplus codes?

No, not using any codes. I key in all the info: station number, time on/off/date, etc.

I know the stations were downloaded from the TV, but did it download the order too?

you can check this by selecting the input that the recorder is on the tv (eg ext2) and then changing channels on the recorder.

there is probably a menu item to reorder the channels on the recorder.

Thanks everyone. The problem was that the order on DVD player was not the same as on TV. I had assumed that it would be when I chose automatic download from TV. Go raibh maith agaibh.
