whenever i play a note on reason 4 with my edirol pcr 800, the note sustains forever, and whatever other notes i play last forever 2, so i end up with a big mess of notes! i thought it was an issue with my controller but it works fine with every other program i have.
ive tried going through the settings and set up of the pcr, but nothing helps.
    anything obvious i havnt tried?
it doesnt happen when i play the keys on the keyboard beside the arrange window, just on the controller.

help! reason rocks so much and i cant use it!

Does it still happen if you open the demo song & play one of the synths?

Whatever synth you are using.. one obvious reason would be that the Release fader on the amp ADSR is wide open.

However.. If it was wide open, it would sound forever in the piano roll too..

I've got the same Keyboard.. never had that problem.. but am interested to find out what the issue is, incase it ever happens to me :pac:

Endless Midi Loop I'd say ...

We've had this query before here as I recall.

What may be happening is there's a midi loop where your in and outs are connected together.

It will take a wiser man than I to offer an exact solution, but if you can find a Midi Thru to turn off do ...

Can mean that the midi cable coming from the keyboard controller are messed up.. make sure that the 'OUT' from the computer isn't going to the 'IN' on the controller keyboard being used to record. That's one scenario :)

me fixed it! thanks lads, i went in and set up the edirol from scratch again, and i think it was something to do with a midi thru from the settings there, tis all good now!
    happy reasoning!
