    Morning folks

I just thought Id bring something to your attention, yesterday while searching for a review of the ESS Turbo Fan Goggles on youtube and deciding whether purchasing a pair for €165 was really going to be worth it I came across this rather nerdy but rather interesting video.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NeDIYaVW8Og

An internal pressure increase...Polychloroprene? WTF's going on, well basically Mr. Mark from Infinite Solutions claims that by placing plasters on the inside of your goggles you will create a small pressure increase which should be sufficient enough to keep them from fogging...and yes we all know that washing up trick and about that awesome product hilariously named catcrap but hey its easier to carry a box of plasters to a site than bottles of liquid and they can fit in your pocket/vest/sock where ever you like to stick it without bursting...I thought maybe it was worth mentioning and hey if you try it let me know if it works

Now I can play airsoft without running into trees! Thanks captaindanwaldo.

Yerman in the video built up so much cool throughout that video only to ruin it by trying to sky in the 2nd half. Poor lad.

This would be great if this works:)

Or it could be an evil ploy by the plaster companies to make everyone buy plasters:D

This probably wouldn't work for ESS or flakjaks, since they rely on a flow of air through the goggle.

I wonder if taping a small amount of silica gel inside the goggles would work? :-)

My ESS Turbo Fans havent fogged up propper yet so I cant...you could try spraying with the steam from an iron and then slap on some plasters and then put them goggles on, just remember that the plasters only create a small pressure increase in a confined area so they must be worn or in theory it wont work...

lol thats the biggest joke ever..... sorry dude.

It you have the type of goggle that he had, then just get a thermal lense. It is two lenses with a gap of 2-3mm between them... just like your double pane lense in your house.

the best thing to use to stop fogging is a form of wax, I've heard some people refer to it as "cat crap". im not sure if thats a commonly used name for it or not.

Anyway. I picked this stuff up in a army surplus store in cork for free. The army use it to prevent there gas masks from fogging up. And it can usually be found in second hand gas mask carry bags.

You should ring around to a few army surplus places and they maybe able to help. It a small wax stick, you rub a little on on the lens and then wipe it off using a linen cloth. it leaves a thin layer of wax that prevents moisture build up.

I've used it at 24 hour events in the UK and never had a fogging problem since. Also once you have it, it will last you forever !

Hope this is of use to some people. I got it from the surplus place in Middleton, Cork.

or you could always get these flakjak's I bought from ebay. Won't cost you more than 30 euro's if you ask the guy to send it to you via standard post.

There is no one stop shop for anti fog, everyone is different i find the flakjak for example still fog up on me (when i say fog i mean they get that build up water on the lens that still obscures your vision as much as fogging, where as other think there the best thing since sliced bread.

You just have to find what works for you.

FlakJaks (as with all eye protection) wont work if you don't keep them well, its essential to keep them clean and always wash them the night before games, dont wipe them with your fingers., this applies to all eye protection and you'll notice a huge improvement by doing it.,

yep, could not agree more, also as soon as you start to get a scratched surface even light surface scratches you will have an increased problem as the scratched surface is easier for the moisture to form on, just my experience

also where you play can have a factor, corks site is very hard on goggles due to the environment its almost like playing in a a greenhouse but again there is no one stop shop, just go with what works for you
