Basically I'm organising a feature for about 30 cork modified-sports japanese cars with the country's top recognised magazine for this type of car. I need somewhere decent that can accomodate up to this amount of cars, does anybody have any suggestions ?

Date is Sunday December 7th, said I'd post it here to get some professional advice so all comments are welcome.

    Thank you in advance.

    Inside/Outside?

    Free/You can pay?

The first place that popped into my head was the dog track at Curraheen Park. Don't know if it would be available or suitable though.

its going to be free, i'd prefer an inside location because of unpredictable weather this time of year, but i'm open to all suggestions.

I would possibly try and approach the management of mahon point regarding the use of their underground car park. Lighting might not be great but you could improvise or even arrange some lighting? Just a suggestion........

Outside unfortunately, but Fota (both the hotel/golf course end and the Arboretum end) would have plenty of space for this sort of thing. The arboretum end in particular would be relatively empty at that time of year, and it might be possible to get permission to drive up to the old house (one or two cars at a time) for shots there.

Alternatively if you contact the Harbour Commissioners they might let you down near the dilapidated buildings on the quay across from Tivoli - outdoors again, but a different kind of look.

The showgrounds might be another area you could try. Inside is prob gona be tricky coming up to xmas.
Also down in little island theres loads of businesses with large parking areas. (When i started learning how to drive I used to go in and out of them on Sundays ;))
Jacobs island have an underground parking for the apartments so you could try there too.

One other outdoor place came to mind (still can't think of anywhere indoors!) - on the old main road between Glounthaune and Carrigtwohill there's a new business park there (Fota something I think they called it) - on the site of the old Youghal Carpets factory. Lots of high tech fancy buildings that haven't been let yet - might be worth taking a drive down to talk to security there to suss them out. If you take the Cobh exit off the main Midleton dual carriageway (coming from Cork), take the left at both roundabouts, and it's only a short way down on your right (before you get to the bad bridge).
