Hi, I have a really sensitive tooth where i got a silver filling about 8/9 months ago. It's sensitive when I brush my teeth (with the cold water) and when i drink anything cold - it's quite painful.

Now i know you're thinking why don't you just go to the dentist but the last few months have been hectic and when i rang to make an appointment with my dentist she was on maternity leave and the other dentist that works with her doesn't do weekend appts and i cant go during the week cos of work blah blah.....basically there was always some obstacle - i'm hoping to go soon but i'm scared that she's gonna say that the tooths rotten or something that it'll have to be taken out - does anyone have any idea why it's so sensitive esp since i already have a filling in it. I'm scared cos my teeth are the one thing i'm proud of and i really dnt wnt to have one yanked out!

    Thanks

Go to the dentist and try and get the tooth saved asap, you'll probably need root canal treatment, 2 visits and around 400 euro a tooth, had one done for something similar a few years ago.. Cannot stress enough, GO TO THE DENTIST! If you don't get it done soon you'll have to get the tooth pulled out.
