Try a wine specialist shop where they have a couple of wines open for tasting. It will give you the chance to try before you buy, and you will get good advice.

    Hi

Try Dunnes. They have a red wine (French) which has a chocolate base to it. Chateau something - normally 15.99 but on special now for 7.99 - gorgeous

It will take time to find the wine that will become your favourite.

Marks & Sparks do some great ones. I nick all their Chianti Classico off the shelf everytime I'm in there.
I particularly like wine which have been in an oak barrell for at least a year.
Rioja wines from Spain are great.
I had a delish Marques De Riscal Rioja Reserva a couple of weeks ago.
Try lots of different types from different regions, eventually you'll find one that you love.

Chianti classico ftw and there are some lovely Rioja's too.
