Dunne / Emile Teidt Question

The last 3 fights dunne has fought has been referee scored and the same ref Emile Teidt.

Does anybody else feel that this tarnishes his record?
Nothing wrong with Emile Teidt but for dunne to fight under him continually in ref scored bouts doesn't seem right.

And why don't they get judges scoring his fights? Even though it's non title it is still a high ranking fight and could effect somebody getting a world title challenge.

    thoughts?

Well as the Marchiano and Machado fight obvioulsy Dunne won those comfortably but both boxers did win a round or two each. This set up would pose problems in more evenly matched fights.

A chimp could score Dunne's fights tbh.

That ref is way too cosy with dunne and is in the limelight too much for my liking, watch how he walks around looking like he's investigating a crime scene, he even moves when he's in the right spot already just to be seen to be doing something..in a close fight its gauranteed he gives it to dunne.

Dunne is what gets him a job, thats the way to look at it, dunne loses then what?

To be fair Tiedt gets the fights because he's able to speak spanish and Dunne's last three opponents spoke spanish.

I always wondered though whether there was much referees in Ireland to choose from.

I was surprise to see him refering last night - but Dunne does not appoint the referee.

I don't care who is fighting; but I do believe that fairness has to prevail. Dunne is Irish and Tiedt is Irish. Now, IMO, this is wrong.

Same with Cal when he went to the US and he had to beat HOP with 3 Judges from the US. That's not right!

In the Calzaghe case, fair play to the judges. I scored it for Joe but it was close...

I find that annoying , they should bring in a UK ref for his fights.

Amir Khan is the same he always has the same referee for his fights including the dodgy fight against Willie Limond but its probably more so he has Frank Warren as his promoter

Happens in every country in the World when a title isn't on the line and sometimes(in America all of the time) it still happens when one is.

As long as the referee does his job right there is no problem, unfortunately as I'm sure we're all aware not every referee will be unbiased towards a countryman.

I know it happens, that's why the question was posed. It is IMO unfair!

And the Cal situation happens also, which is even more unfair!

And even with the best referee trying his best to be unbiased doesn't
make it fair. It's human nature to want your fellow country man to do well; though
it can also be human nature to begrudge your fellow country man success.

I have to agree, whilst there hasnt been any close decisions to be made it does leave people feeling a little uncomfortable, in saying that we dont seem to have a stable of top quality refs, the only other ref who has officiated at any sort of senior level is David Irving. Neither of these refs to be fair to them have done anything unusual and I dont think anybody could question the scoring at the weekend so big deal over nothing really. More importantly try going to somewhere like germany and getting a decision with so called "neutral" refs and judges cough cough!!

Evidently, none of you were either aware or took the time to point out that Mickey Vann was referring Hattons fights for ****ing ages.

    In fact....
    http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=9314&cat=boxer

Go back and see just how often Mickey Vann or Parris played some role in Hattons Britain-based fights.

To the best of my knowledge, Vann was involved heavily during Rickys WBU reign.

Mickey Vann is one of the best referees in the UK , so you can't fault him and besides all title fights are 3 judges and so whats the problem. The fights that are ref/judge fights are done by John Keane , so how is there something going on the there

while watching the dunne fight on saturday i looked up tiedt's record on boxrec. i don't think he's ever scored a fight against a home favourite. not suggesting anything is wrong here, far from it. but there should be a rotation of refs for fights in Ireland to avoid any doubt. if the talent isn't there, then it should be trained up pronto, particularly now that ireland is holding a lot more pro shows than a few years ago

A quick check shows that he scored Peter Allen the winner over Willie Valentine a few years back, looking closer you'd probably find one or two more results like that. With that said Irish fighters are rarely tested and thus rarely referees are put into a position where they have to score a fight against an Irishman.
