i'm considering applying for practice cert and going out on my own. Am i mad to do this taking into account the current economic climate. I can work from home as it's in an ideal location and i have office space. I'm also concerned about networking - any tips on how to build a practice. Just for the record, i'm in my 40's and have held responsible positions so I'm not an inexperienced accountant. My current employer is not interested in a partnership and to be honest i dont think a partnership with him would work. Have i am other options where I'm employed that i should be considering?

    Beka

If you can answer this question positively then go for it.

Can I afford to transition from being an employee to having a sufficiently big enough practice?
