Where in Galway can I buy copper washers?

Lost a copper washer today for a marine engine. Since there's no dealers in Galway i'd be better off just measuring the diameter of the bolt and going to a shop and getting a generic one

Does anyone know where'd sell copper washers in Galway??

    Thanks in advance

You could try Walsh's heating and plumbing centre, next door to Caulfield Electrical. Across the road from Monoghan & Sons Garage. I'm sure they would deal quite a lot in copper bits and pieces.

Any good car garage will have them.

They won't have one this small though as it's not a sump washer bolt (it's way smaller) - Thanks all the same though!

If you can't find one, get one made at Pat Rynnes at the docks.

Yeah cheers, didn't think of that either.

They can be bought online for 70cent anyhow and I just remembered that I need to buy some other parts, so might just get them online

Thanks for the tip Fey - Ivor's wouldn't have them.

I got them online in the end as I needed to order some other parts. I have decided that i'm going to start making oil for a living - Just had to buy some for a supercharger - 30euro for 250ml

Hiya John, glad you got the washers. There is nothing worse then a small part holding up a job. I might suggest you have a look in Tripart, on the tuam road. They are great for stuff like that.

@ His Holiness - thanks for the Monday morning smile!

@OP - if you need a lot of them, there is a company in Longford called the Longford Brass Company who could make them to your spec. They may also be able to coat them to avoid corrosion (I don't know how badly copper is effected by slat water).

Fey - Tis cool, managed to find the part number for them on a service manual. They're something like 50c each so for the sake of convenience i'll just order them with some other stuff but thanks for the suggestion
