desktop shortcuts

    hi
    i installed google chrome to try out but diddent like it so uninstalled it, now none of my desktop shortcuts will work, when i clickon a desktop shortcut i get the message...this file does not have a programme associated with it for performing this action. create an assocation in the folder options control panel.......is there a way to get my shortcuts back??

    What happened to your now gone shortcuts? Did you delete them?
    Are they in the bin? Restore option for the bin?

    Any item/shortcut that is listed under "start/all programs..." can be right-clicked on. Select "Copy" and then "paste" that same shortcut onto your desktop.
