Thank you dear unknown person in advance for helping me. After a failed attempted at setting up a wireless network, my 2 Gb USB stick now has the files:
    setupsnk.exe
    autorun.inf
    and a folder called: SMRTNTKY

They take up almost all the memory and cannot be deleted by any method I know as they are write protected and cannot be modified.

Can you help me remove these?

    Regards

    Sinister

Bit of a download but is a useful tool when things go wrong. No doubt there are many other ways to fix it.

    http://www.remote-exploit.org/backtrack_download.html

download the cd image and burn it as a bootable disk .

This is free , works , and will burn the cd image for you

    http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm

It's a live cd , so when you boot it , it will bring up an operating system without touching your hard disk.

Boot the PC with the cd in the drive.
Depending how the pc is setup etc it may :
start to boot from the cd
or you have to press F12 or something to bring up a boot choices menu
or you have to go into the BIOS and change the boot order.

Post up when you get that far

Download * install Unlocker v1.87 & see if you can delete them.
