I just got Eircom there and im trying to change to Nat type 1. I followed the video by the Carlow fella on you tube and I used broadband1 as the username and password and when I test the connection it keeps saying failing to obtain ip address. I can connect via the easy set up method so its nothing to do with signal strenght or anything and that is the right passwrd and username as eircom sent me them. Anyone had the same problem. I have tried doing it loads of times

check ur router home page 192.168.1.254 and the username could be eircom@eircom.net

yeah but eircom give different user name and passwords, i have a friend that his username is his phone number and the pass is his acc number, try eircom@eircom.net as the pass and broadband1 as the pass, it'll prob fail a few times but should work

btw for both them usernames i have used broadband1 as the password and instead of a wep key im entering my wpa key but that should not make a diference as thats what I use to connect the easy way and it works.

Did you have any joy in the end?

I'm having the same problem... eircom or eircom@eircom.net with password broadband1 not working at all...

And now my internet wont work at all! When I go to the router homepage, I see that the pppoe is failing, probably been locked out from not using the correct username/password.

    Any takers for help?!
