Japanese Film Festival

    Just read about this on Entertainment.ie.

    There is a japanese film festival on in Dublin, Cork and Limerick over the next few weeks (starting tonight in Dublin!). The movies have free admission, but you have to collect tickets from a Film Festival stand in the cinema before the movie. The timetable is below.     The Girl Who Leapt Through Time is an anime as someone said earlier. Nice little contemporary rom-com with, obviously, a bit of a groundhog day twist. The animation is pretty nice. Nice and simple and good to see modern Japan in a non-scifi setting. Recommended. The director is ex-ghibli (My Neighbour Totoro, Spirited Away etc) and is quite similar to Whisper Of The Heart in style. If you wanted to check out anime but thought it was just kids smashing about in robot suits or (shdder) pokemon, then check this out. You'll see that it can be just as diverse as western live action movies.
