Octave Pedal that tracks well?

    Hi guys and gals,

A quick Q regarding octave pedals. I use, at the mo, a danelectro cheapo octave pedal, and finds it gives a gurgly sound rather than a bassy sound when playing notes on the lower strings, (E, A string). I'm not sure why that is. I only play some bass lines, and maybe loop them, but it tends to come out gurgly rather than "octave" sounding. anyone use one of those pink danelectro octave pedals? got any magic settings for me?

Can you recommend an octave pedal that tracks well? not an expensive one!

HOw do the boss ones fare out? I was listening to a demo of one on youtube, and it sounds similar to my dano one.....:o

An octave pedal has always been on my long term wish list. I think i might follow that Micro Pog suggestion punchdrunk. ( actually I'll drop some oh so subtle hints to the wife and kids coming up to Christmas!!). I always liked them to fatten up a bit of lead noodling.

yeah it looks cool, the bass seems to track well, and the twelve string type tones would be usefull too

Punchdrunk is right. The Micro Pog is pretty amazing.
You can blend 3 octaves which makes it sound like a church organ and it tracks really well.Including chords...
    It's around 200 euro.
