if anyone tries to make a mid policy alteration (e.g. for driving a courtesy car if yours is in for repair), then hibernian charge you 15 euro. they say that the fee is waived if you use their on line system, but surprise surprise, it never works. i have been onto them several times and they have failed to repair my online password, so i cant use it. they are pretty good at giving it for free though when i call and explain this to them, but it makes me wonder how many other people dont know about this and just pay up. do any other insurance companies have this kind of charge? on average last year, i used this 3 times, and thats 45 euro, or over 10% of my annual policy fee. am i being paranoid?

Some companies charge for them... some don't...
I know a brokers that don't charge for them but the max you can do is 30 days in any one yearly policy.
