    Is anyone watching this?

It's a disgrace. All they're showing is the Northern Ireland one which is terrible. The english one has great stuff like Ashes to Ashes, Doctor Who, naked Coronation Street.

If they want o get people to donate they have to do better than this. Brian Kennedy and Enya doing songs which could have been prerecorded doesn't cut it.

    This is so annoying.

I stuck with it until they announced Enya then had to switch off. Absolutely disgusted, tbh. Do they really need two songs from each performer? Why not fill in the time by letting us watch the London one or the Welsh one or any one where the presenters actually have a personality to share between them?

Eastenders becomes Westenders - quite enjoyable who knew some of them could sing

All the proper BBC channels are FTA so anyone with Sky or another satellite service has no excuse to be watching the abomination that is BBCNI. I feel sorry for UPC people though.

They are also putting up a Republic of Ireland phone number so we can have the pleasure of donating to them! It's not like we do not have plenty of our own children in need without donating to the North which has a better healthcare system to begin with! Excuse me for going off topic a bit, its just so damn annoying.

BBC NI is a joke. I'm just glad I have sky and can switch to BBC London when NI put on their home produced muck.

If anyone did then I would like to ask the question, WHY? I would like to see someone justify it.

Why would people donate to help needy children? What justification do you want exactly? Is it because they are children in a foreign country? Do you object to people donating to charities that help those in Africa?

Who exactly are you to criticise anyone who wants to help those less fortunate?

In no way was I suggesting to people not to donate to Africa! That's a terrible accusation! mad.gif I was asking the question why would people in the Republic of Ireland pick up the phone to donate money to a BBC broadcast where the money goes to charities in the UK which is one of the richest countries in the world when we have our own children's charities crying out for donations. Do people from the UK donate to the People in Need telethon on RTE when it is on? I doubt it. Also, who are you to criticise me for wanting Irish charities to receive donations whether they are helping at home or in Africa!

I was in no way critical of anyone wanting to support charities at home but you wanting justification for why someone would dare give money to people in another country is quite frankly bull****. Do people in the UK give money to Irish telethons you ask. Probably not a whole lot as RTÉ is only available in Northern Ireland and a few people on the UK west coast whereas BBC is available all over this island. You should have asked "why should we help them if they don't help us". That in itself is a terrible way of thinking.
