I saw this gun a while back and it looks freaking amazing!
Ive heard positive things about it over at gas-guns.info. You can get these 'light mags' with a shorter valve meaning that it should shoot at around 300 fps, Ive contacted GHK and they should be able to confirm this.
Any chance an Irish retailer would stock these?

    and heres an joygasimtastic video:eek::

If I can get the cash im defo getting this!

been looking at this myself, gbb are pritty impractical in ireland but hay when has airsoft been about practicality :)

Anyway i;ve been talking to GHK about ordering up until know they only shipped via ems which is a problem for use, taking a bit of time to get it sorted.

Indeedy, I want one of them, and the GBB M4. Not for skirmishing, as I'm too old and fat for that lark.

I wouldnt say impractical, you just need to be a bit patient when the mags are heating up:rolleyes: But actualy I'd say they would be fine in an indoor enviroment, if only the warehouse would open!

oh and does anyone know if these light mags will reduce the fps enough to be complient with Irish law?

with the ambient temperature we have the normal mags would more than likely still be within the legal limit (going by experiences with wa m4) again this depends on a lot of factors.

For an indoor environment again would rely on the ambient temperature.
I wouldnt say impractical, you just need to be a bit patient when the mags are heating up

so as i said impractical  im not an impatient man myself but things do have limitations, a 15 min cool down between useing a mag is already recommended due to cooldown in environments far better suited to gbb than yours, but hay as i said its cool and i want one :) but waiting for the aks74 myself

(mute your sound some very strange music playing on this one......)

ghk have just converted gbb parts to go into a dboys ak shell (lot of talk because its a vfc clone, about putting these internals into vfc aks e.g aims ak74m 105 etc etc

A drop in GBB mech for vfc style ak's would be class, get those lads e-mail and get em to sell it as a kit, you would get serious sales from that.

It may even work in TM style?

I asked some guy on youtube ,who owns this gun, if its any good and what fps he is getting. He told me that hes getting 380fps with 0.28s. The good news is that there are low preasure mags, the bad news is that they arent released yet.

No I doubt that, the recievers are differant as far as I know.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,261 ✭✭✭Puding

the internal dimensions are almost the same, the difference between the different 'types' of ak, tm/vfc is normally down to how they are constructed and put together so you can not use a tm receiver on a vfc front end, i don;t think it would be a simple drop in but i can not see it being beyond the realm of someone will common sense and some tools

    Ignore that

Is this the same thing as the RA Tech GBB AK that was posted in the news thread a few weeks ago?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,758 ✭✭✭Stercus Accidit

    Was thinking that.

I shamefully dont own a vfc yet, or a kalash, I'm still waiting on the fabled kalash full steel ak74

If I could drop a gbb mech into my rpk I'd be a happy fecking bunny.

    Ratatatatatatat!

But I'll never fork out for one, escort etc. are the realm of the employed airsofter :o

it is the same one, i never found out the relationship ghk make them and then i don;t know if ra tech is the trading name or a distribute ?? no idea
