I am currently renovating a house. I am in two minds about my central heating / hot water options. I would appreciate any advice.

My two options are a Waterford Stanley Brandon oil Range supplemented by solar panels.

My other option is a solid fuel Waterford Stanley Donard Range supplemented by a condenser oil boiler also with solar.

The house is 150 square metres ( over 1600 Square feet) and I expect to have 10 – 12 Radiators. It is located in Rural Ireland. It is also being newly insulated.

    Thanks

    Any advice would be appreciated

I would have a condensing boiler supplemented by a solid fuel range.
Reason: better effeciency from condensing boiler than range. with solar

    Thanks for the advice Topcatcbr.

I went into a fireplace shop today and came accross a german solid fuel range called Wamsler 1100 series cooking range. I has never really thought about any other brand other than a Waterford Stanley. I was wondering if anyone has had any expericence with this range and how does it measure up to the Donard by Waterford Stanley.
