VAT and Paye

    Hi All,
    I have registered for VAT , paye etc but have yet to hear anything back from the revenue. We plan to open in a week can we open without the vat number ?
    I will follow up with revenue tomorrow and next week but just getting a bit worried.

    What are you opening?
    Have you registered or just applied and have not heard anthing?
    If you are registered you are registered, I would be worrying about other stuff at the moment, not the tardiness of revenue to your applications for registration.

    Hi,

    If you have applied for a Vat numebr , I would give the Revenue a call. They are very approachable and may be able to give you your Vat number over the phone.

    Great thanks, looks like its fine spoke to the accountant and he told me to focus on other things and call revenue on monday or tuesday.

    Your Accountant is right concentrate on the business of opening. The VAT man will only normally be upset if you try and do him out of his share.

    Yep your right , I'm not plannig on doing him thats why i was a it worried, but all is looking good now, jsut a few little things to sort out over the next week and we will open on time :)
