Java script turned off...how turn it on?

I have just uninstalled a game from my computer. Now when I go to play a video on you tube this message appears; Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player My scripting is enabled when I go to internet options. Any help would be much appreciated!

flash is needed for youtube videos to play for you, so just download and install the latest version from here:
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/
