hi . you might remember I posted here a good while ago about fixing up an old guitar :). anyway, i think i have a problem. Sometimes when i plug the guitar in, no sound comes out at all, and other times it works fine. And when it does work, the tone knob seems to be doing nothing either.

here are some pictures, i was just wondering if anyone would be able to tell whats wrong by looking at them If not, ill probably take it to a guitar shop at the weekend.

    Thanks :)

(the tone knob is at the far right)

Can't really look at the pics in work but from a quick peep, your tone pot is on the right? Well it's not wired up to anything which is why it ain't working and the capacitor is on the volume pot, for some reason.

The best thing to do here is rewire from scratch. What are you trying to do with this, one vol, one tone and a 3 way switch or what?

Have a look here, you should be able to find what you need

Yep pretty sure he is right. Nothing is going to the tone pot except the ground and the cap is on the volume. It looks like the pot on the top is the tone and the one on the right is vlume but not wired in properly.
