Being a million miles away from the original Merc ML series would be a good thing. Isn't that engine supposed to be a pig of a thing? Edit - that's the 2.9 engine, not the 2.7 one.

They all seem happy with theirs:confused:

Look at some of their comments though:

    "Excellent value for a prestige 4 X 4. "

    And another one:

"It gives the image of a man interested more in functionality than badge....
now I will probably go for a Hummer"

I would never have thought this was a prestige car, and likewise wouldn't give too much credit to someone who wants to drive a hummer!

They're rubbish, I've driven a few before, both in auto and manual form, petrol and diesel.

Dodgy manual gearboxes, unrefined engines (expect for the rare petrol model, although they're few and far between), dodgy looks, vague steering, and poor build quality.

I thought Merc just licensed the engine design to them and they built it themselves. Could be wrong on that though???

They're just plain nasty! the engine was designed by Mercedes, but the same company that made the awful interior also built the engine!

Take these comments with a pinch of salt, we're very negative here. In fact for any car out there there will be somebody here to give out about it. I'm not saying ignore the comments here but just take a test drive for yourself aswell.
