Tax Refund?

Sorry if this has been asked a billion times before but...

I am trying to get my tax back from the past 3 years or so of working part time. I got a letter recently saying i have roughly 1800 PAYE tax credits and 1800 personal tax credits. I'm not entirely sure what this means. I have never tried to get my tax back but my friends have so im thinking why the hell not! revenue.ie is a bit of a maze to me at the moment. I have applied for ROS and have my pin and all that.

    What I understand...
You need a p45 from each employer and should be handed to your next employer: I never recieved one p45 in all the jobs i have worked, can i get my tax refunded without one? Surely i should be on there systems as i always got paid throught the PAYE system

I am not in the country at the moment and wont be for some time so im trying to do it all via ROS. I have emailed them but no response. Obviously Im going to keep on hassling them till i get a response but any feedback from you guys would be much appreciated.

Ring 1890 333 425 have any p45 and p60 and bank details. Ask them to do a review or issue a p21 balancing statement. They will check if you have any money owed or if you owe them money ( can happen also so ). If your owed money tell them you would like to register a bank account ( money goes straight in instead of check). You might be on hold for a while. If your ringing from abroad 0035316474444 and you will get through.

Your better doing it over phone than online not even sure if you can do it online. What email address did you email?

    I got this response.
    Good Evening from Ros
    Thank you of your mail,

While in providing support for the Ros service unfortunately
we do not manage or process tax cases ... I would best advise
you to contact your local Tax Office@...1890 333425 and discuss ...

Once organised as to what you current tax positions are
you have the option of submitting claiming, returns and payments
using Ros services as you wish.

    Regards,

    Seamus Sexton
