PS3 is dropping to €249.99 with pro ev '08 2moro in smyths???

Heard this rumour from an unreliable source! Anybody heard anything to confirm???

Sony said no price cuts this side of Xmas.

It seems hard to believe that Smyths would do this of their own bat.

With Pro Evo 09 I imagine?

From Sony's point of view, if they said there would be prices cuts back when they said there won't be, nobody would bother buying PS3 untill the price cut. They'd be shooting themselves in the foot reducing sales figures and profits.

MS price cuts get leaked early and then they officially announce them a week before they actually happen.

Well what Sony said was atcually more vague IIRC.

Something like we have no price cuts planned.

i was in smyths earlier today buying guitar hero,no signs or anything about PS3 price drop..

I was trust in Symths and no sign of the offer.

On the plus side, the deal in HMV is great. 80Gig Model + big little planet and Fifa 09 for 399.99.

Best Deal yet.

Went into check at lunch time and no offer. They have the same offer for €409

Sorry about getting anybodys hopes up!
