Just looking for some advice here so mods please feel free to move if its in the wrong place.

My GAA club is having a big ticket selling spree at the moment - 20 euro ticket, draw at end of January. Usual prizes for car, holiday etc.

I was hoping to fix up the club website so people can purchas a ticket online. Pay through paypal etc. and we send them out a ticket stub then.

Can anyone see any legal issues with this or would I need to get permission to do this. Any advice greatly appreciated.

You'll need to get onto the internet police for apply for a permit!

only kiddin' - I'd say once the draw has a permit locally, you'll be grand!
remember, paypal will take a cut for payment.

Ya the permit is sorted for the draw so Im assuming that covers all sales mediums.

The club is a registered charity - Is any one aware if they charge charities.

I have sent Paypal an email but god only knows when I will get a reply.

Your best option for a one off event such as this will be the paypal paynow button for single items rather than setting up a shopping cart, also bear in mind that paypal does not accept Laser. I dont think Paypal offer any discounts to charities

PS I've sent you a pm
