    Hi everyone,

There's been so much about acid erosion over the last couple of years and I'm just looking for a bit of advice. I haven't been to the dentist in a few years :o but I just want to find out about any treatments that may help me. I use pro enamel toothpaste and listerine twice a day, try not to eat acidic foods, drink lots of water and chew sugar free gum. However my top two front teeth dont look great. They are a bit chipped. I suspect that this is due to their weakened state? The tips are also almost see through. I'm wondering if there are any new treatments or products that can help this. I also think I might ask the dentist to file my 2 front teeth to even them up and stop further chippings. Is this possible or even a good idea? Thanks for reading!!!

Judging from your low acid diet and hygiene habits, it's more likely that your front teeth are like that from grinding rather than acid erosion. Polishing the edges smooth is a reasonable option or else building them back up to their origional level with composite/white materials.
See through tips are normal and actually quite natural looking. dentist spend time building teeth back up or fitting crowns/veneers with see through edges to mimic natural teeth.
