renault traffic van

    my da has a renault traffic van and is having problems with his alarm /immobiliser wats happened is his van wouldnt start last night so i went and jump started it for him i told him he might need to change his battery also before i jumped it his alarm was going haywire it wouldnt shut of and the indicators kept flashing so i thought it might of been down to the battery being low, so he went and bought a battery for his van today and now its fitted his radio and the display for the radio that is on the dash arent working and his alarm is acting the same as it was before he changed the battery.

    anyone know what could be the cause of this?

    i know the radio not working may be down to a blown fuse from jump starting it.

    Is the alarm an aftermarket one? Could be a loose connection somewhere along the line.

    ye ste it is he got it fitted by some bloke he knows but he doesnt have an alarm fob he programmed it into the key fob.so his key does the lot.
