Love number 1. It's really very attractive to look at.

No offence, I'm not knocking the photography DK, but number two looks like a No2, or at best something you'd see on a city centre pavement any weekend night.

It's far from appetising and seems to be laid on slate

I like most of them with the exception of the second one. It makes me think "Feck, how much am I paying for fishfingers and a blob of mustard?" :)

It is laid on slate, funny how the first two comments have favoured the more traditional presentation of the first image to the "trendier" no 2, which was one of the nicest things I tasted!

What is it anyway? Scallops and croquettes or something? Or is it a sausage of some kind? I don't mind the slate (though you might want to watch for the central reflection) - but I'd like to have some idea of what it is :)

Remember we eat with our eyes before tasting.

I though presentation on slate disappeared when the Grey Door closed

#1 looks the best for me :)
second one does nothing for me, looks like it was slopped on a counter or something...that or its leftovers

It is Rabbit, with Trio of Sweetcorn, Puree, Roasted and Croquette!

See, that sounds lovely on a menu, but I think I'd be a bit disappointed if I got what's shown in the picture. As other people have said, I'm only trying to help here - not knocking the photography, but if I saw just the picture I wouldn't order it. I'm sure the chef is aware of the psychology of dining and understands how the words and pictures combine :)

I wouldn't mind a bit of #1 right now, looks savage

I liek the 3rd one of the pepperoni but the rest look a bit meh except the portrait which i like. The first one would look better if the upper part of the plate was more 'white' rather than getting a little dull

Well, I think they are overexposed. And there is something about the pictures I cannot explain, that does not make me hungry. Sorry.

Tiny bit more light there and you are flying.. Another quality set of foodie shots.. You are developing quite the niche for yourself there.. Beats swans any day! ;)
    Keep up the good work..

I agree, can't really say what it is either, the white balance seems off - a bit too yellow in one and three (trying to make the food 'warmer'?) and bit pink in four, maybe it's deliberate, but it just feels a bit 'off' for me.

The thing i've noticed about number two, is that because the background (the plate) is so dark, it doesn't really show the food up well - the purée shows up well, the croquettes less so, and the rabbit gets a bit lost - "BonAppetite050" on your flickr site, looks better.

But that's just my 2¢ worth - other than that they're pretty good.
i think you've better pics on your Flickr site, though
