I don't mean to be pedantic but this problem is more annoying than it sounds.

I got a new Macbook at the start of September and it's my first mac. The problem is that at startup there is a 2-3 second keyboard delay which means I might mistype my password. When I hit the first key it takes about 2-3 seconds to register and then it's fine. What is causing this and how can I fix it?

Check your key repeat rate in Settings > Mice & Keyboards
