UPC(NTL) access denied

    Hi Y'All
Recently changed from NTL(UPC) analogue to NTL(UPC) digital in Dublin. I woke up this morning to find an 'access denied' message when I go to any of the digital stations (except for RTE 1, RTE 2, Setanta and a few others). All original analogue stations are fine if I don't use the UPC box. Any ideas?

    Cheers
    JJ

Depends on what package you have. Your card might also not have been activated.

The basic digital package on UPC is here:
    http://www.upc.ie/television/digitaltv/value/

Other channels will appear in the EPG, but you won't be able to access them.

    Hi,
Thanks for your reply. We have the basic digital pack. We have it a few weeks and all has been grand up until now. Stations such as TV3 and UTV which were fine yesterday now all have an access denined message when I switch to them. Could the card be disabled or something else wrong with it?
Could we have been cut-off for some reason or would the other analogue stations be gone too?

I would mess with it myself - plug it out, remove the card, wipe it off with a lint-free cloth, stick it back in, plug the box back in.

It might ask you for an activation code or an area code. Put in "131".

If it's still not working, best to ring customer care.

Same happened to me, the card expired for some reason, sadly the engineer whom installed me recorded the wrong card with HQ, so when they tried to reset it, nothing happened, so they eventually replaced the box before they figured out the problem with the card number.
