Could someone post up a detailed guide of how to install, take apart and put back together various hop up units.

I know some a different from others like a G36 to an AUG to a SCAR hop up.

I've looked around with google but can't find any decent ones.

Also what hop ups work in what AEGs, like would a VFC SCAR hop up work/fit in a VFC 416 etc.

Just a though as I'm lost when it comes to working wih these and seeing as I will be doing barrel changes with SCARs, 416s and 36s it would help out a ton.

I used that myself, it's a good one. But you need to read it a couple of times, trace your steps carefully, and have a bit of cop-on.

In that link, the barrel and bucking came out so easy, when I was doing that with the G36 I practically had to reef the barrel out of the hop and the bucking came off inside the hop unit. Yes I already removed the retaining ring.

I fished the bucking out but it was a struggle trying to get it back on the barrel in the correct position, in the vid it just slides on no prob. It was like the bucking was too small for the barrel. After about 10 mins I get the bucking back on the barrel but it won't push back into the hop unit.

There has to be an easier way of making these things for modding and upgrading. Working on a gear box is simple compared to these things. Splicing a 48 port fibre optic network pannel is childs play compared to these gremlin devices.

    Nice comparison!!!

With my UMP everything comes out as easily as it does in that video
