www.gsfcarparts.com is good for VW parts, the prices are in sterling on the site but you can order from it and they will deliver the order from their Dublin shops.

I can't see how parts for a mass-produced car like that could save you money, online. - The postage would outweigh the savings in parts.

Fr'instance, I just priced new discs for my 968 - they cost less, in Euro, from Otto.ie than from a UK specialist mail order unit.

I'd try Otto for German stuff, as a refererence, first.

You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

www.vagparts.com are also good. Needs to be a reasonably significant order as postage can negate any savings.

For 2nd hand stuff try:

It has a list of cars the breaker's yards all over the country have.
May be good if you are looking for engine, gearbox, interior parts, lights, bumpers, etc.
I've never bought anything yet as I have only recently heard of it. Has to be worth a shot though.

I've used CarPartsDirect when I needed a power steering pump for the wife's Volvo.

Fast delivery, excellent, friendly service and a fraction of the cost here, even WITH delivery included. Good as their word too, they reimbursed my credit card when I sent back the old part for refurb.

Hello,
I'm just trying to put together a website with links to used car, truck and tractor parts called http://www.keephergoing.com
It may not be much help to the present problem but, I fear that it may, in the near future, become useful in light of the slump in new car sales.

The girlfriend came across this site today when looking for part for her suzuki. Was able to ask a few questions in the chatroom to make sure it was the right part. Was well impress with service and her order is being shipped via DHL. Hope to receive everything tomorrow! OEM part at 1/3 of dealer price.
