Ceilings now slabbed with 50 mm insulated slabs skimming started.
I am looking for opinions on which insulating substrate to use above , rockwool ,fibre glass ,cellulose ,sheepswool etc. I have a deck 600mm off the top of joists for storage, so not restricted for depth.

    Rockwool because
    1. relatively low embodied energy ( compared to fibre glass not cellulose / sheeps wool )
    2. can be compressed into awkward spaces avoiding air gaps - and is physically easier to do
    3. relatively good value ( compared cellulose / sheeps wool not to fibre glass not )
    4. use no more than 200mm - reason - top statas will get very cold otherwise and you will get condensation forming
    5. excellent fire resistant qualities
