    Hi,
I sold an item today and sent the invoice to the user with no feedback and who only registered today. Now it says user is no longer registered on ebay.

Do I report unpaid? I have another user that is only 5 euro short of what the winner bidded - can I send him a second chance offer now?

    Thanks.

Yes you can report an unpaid item for the 1st bidder and you'll prob get yer funds back quickly.
You can also give 2nd chance offer to 2nd bidder now.

2nd chance offer is your best bet.

You haven't a hope of getting paid off that idiot.

In future add the option that only bidders with greater than 0 feedback can bid.

Right I have it relisted now. The second chance guy didn't buy it either. What a pain that winner was/is!

The winners address all seemed to be correct. Address details corresponded to the postcode for example.

When setting up this time I have set it to not let users bid if they don't have less or equal to -1. There was only an option of -1, -2 or -3. Not sure about the minus part tbh - anyone care to enlighten? :)

Also I set it to users can bid only if they have a paypal account. Do you think this was a bad idea - Maybe I am alienating some potential customers?

If you have only negative feedback on ebay and no positive your feedback go into negative eg if you have a feedback of 0 and and someone gives you bad feedback it will turn into -1

not sure. you used to be able to it but maybe that has changed with all the changes ebay went through

You can block 0 feedback users with no credit card on their account from buying from you. However, everyone has to start somewhere and some 0 feedback users can be good buyers. If you're selling a high value or high tech gadget (mobile phone, sat nav, etc), I would probably block 0 feedback users because these types of items can attract Nigerian scam bidders.

according to this (and the poster above) you cant block someone with zero feedback unless they dont have a credit card on file

    http://answercentre.ebay.co.uk/search.jspa?range=10&q=block+buyers+feedback&objID=f8005&search=Search

You could say on your listing that you reserve the right to sell to people with low or zero feedback. But they still might go ahead and bid anyway.

I've put that in now so I'm covered if I decide to cancel anyones bid.
