Pop in the Leopard DVD, follow instructions.

Doubt a repair shop will do it free of charge, even if under warranty.

Put in the DVD, restart, hold down the Option key while the system is booting, select to boot from the DVD when you're given the option to. Then just follow the instructions, it couldn't be simpler, there's no reason to go to a repair shop.

Very simple and something people should do every now and again. A fresh install can really speed up a Mac in some cases. OP you will be able to do it no trouble.

An OEM version of Leopard should work - that's the version not attached to a particular model, like this.

After that the only option AFAIK is a recovery disc from an identical model. Not being nosey but why do you need to re-install ? Are you having issues with the current install perhaps we could help fix ?

yea a few issues that i cant fix.. and macs have a tendency to build up data in places that i hate looking for so next to no drive space left.

there's hardly a disk cleanup sort of utility i could get to free up space?
