    • It costs too much to run.
    • Poor Mobile coverage (useless Driving Coverage on RTE DAB especially now roll-out halted).
    • No significant listening advantage (poorer than FM if too many channels run)
    • Little saving on Radio Spectrum.
    • Small pocket radio still poor battery life.
    • Miniature radio not possible.
    • If you really want to save spectrum and have good quality newer systems (DRM for VHF, DVB-h2, DVB-h, DAB+ etc all far better).
    • Only state Broadcaster wants it (RTE/BBC) not the commercials
    • Extra stations even less compelling content than extra Satellite TV channels.
    • Irish DAB is unlikely to ever carry BBC Radio

I'm inclined to agree - dont see the point from a consumer perspective

Agree too - the fact that Dixons/Currys/PC World stock a whole range of them is a pretty good indication that the idea will fail hehe.

I'm happy with my Argos Internet Radio, no shortage of channel choice!

Yes! Commercially DAB is on the demise. Here in London, do a scan every so often a a station has gone. Tonight 42 stations which 3 are test stations. When I started there was 54 stations. I think it was last March it was announced major commercial stations were pulling out of DAB.

I purchased the Roberts WM-202. I bought it primarily for Internet Radio.
