    Hi,

We are currently building our house and the roof is being slated at the moment. We went for a Spanish natural slate. My problem is the ridge tiles. We are going for an old world look and any of the ridge tiles I have been give are too black and look too new against the slate.

Any suggestions. I don't really want to go down the salvage yard route. Is there a new ridge you can get that isn't black.

    Thanks

For a natural slate roof your options are

Clay ridge tiles in Black or Red (plain angle, capped angle, cock's comb etc)
    Copper ridge
    Aluminium Ridge

What exactly are you looking for???

    Thanks for the reply,

I am looking for a clay ridge tile but the black looks too black against the natural slate. Is there a greyish colour it comes in.

    Hi Glan 14
Try Brooks outlets they do a blue/grey brooks capped angle ridge tile, looks well. Good match for natural slateno shine cement fibre.

I used a nice ridge slate from ISDL in Dublin (no affiliation just a happy customer). I also used natural spanish slate and the ridge looks really with it. Its a synthetic ridge pre-drilled so the ridge can be nailed on so no need to bed in mortar as is usual.
Google them or I can PM you the sales guy
