Anyone know of any shops in the country (preferably cork or limerick) where i would be able to pick up a few good gamecube games.Been trying for ages to get some of the bigger games for the gamecube as i never really got a chance to play one before but now that i have a wii i thought i might aswell see what i missed out on. was in antrim a few months back and bought mario sunshine but only when i returned home to cork and opened the box did i realise it was empty
so any help would really be appreciated!

also advice on a few worth while games to pick up would be nice too.

Where is this mancaster you speak of?

Tip: Breathe in and out slowly before beginning to type.

Edit: Adverts is your best bet for GC games and there are always a good few available.

They are a rare sight in Ireland now Gamestop in Henry street in Dublin has a small amount for €2 buy one get one free mainly Billy Hatcher and Fifa but there are some good games every now and then other than that try www.cex.co.uk or www.gamestation.co.uk and take a trip over to England they both have some cheap gamecube games. One other palce to check is any local charity shops.

Nintendo are releasing slightly updated versions of some Gamecube games (same game with Wii controls) so far Pikmin 1&2, Chibi-Robo, and the two Metroid Primes, (and a few others) with a release of 2009 in the US. It will help against the insane price of Pikmin 2, altough I'd expect them to be €30.

In terms of Wii game development though they represent a step backwards. Considering that plenty of Wii games look and feel like GC games as it is, Nintendo should be trying to push development not rerelease last gen games.

True, I'd rather see Nintendo release the old classics as Gamecube games, and maybe Wavebirds to go along with them.

As it stands I'm happy to see Pikmin 2 being rereleased, I've never played it, and I think there's a proper Pikmin 3 in the works. But DK Jungle Beat and Mario Tennis are not very welcome by me, I haven't played them but I never thought they were classics that the new generation of Wii owners missed out on.

Sorry for going a bit off topic, with certain exceptions getting the GC version will (probably) be cheaper but I don't know anywhere that stocks them.

Really my point was that Nintendo should be developing all new versions of these franchises not simply releasing old one with wiimote contol.
