Can anyone advise on possible cause of both electric mirror motors failing to operate??? The heated elements are working as is everything else as far as I can tell so I don't suspect a fuse problem but.....

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks.

It's probably a wire from the control unit, maybe just a damaged or cut wire, nothing too series I'd say.
Also make sure to get the fuses cheeked, cos thats another good reason its not working.

o.k. - hope you're right about it not being too serious. Are you familiar with Galaxys? Where would you suggest I start looking for the snagged cable? Fuses seem o.k but there a few fuses common to the mirrors on the list in the owner's guide. Confusing or what! Ta

Do you have the little tool to cheek fuses? The door card will have to come off on the driver side.

check the fuse diagram...there is probably a different fuse for the heater element to the actual mirrors controls.

I think it might be the switch but how do I avoid buying one to confirm????

Any way of getting the pinout diagram for the switch?

There is power going to the switch on one cable only......if I can find out if that's all that I should have then I think the switch is the problem as it's not sending power to the mirror motors.

    Any ideas?
