There are places that can do this I'm sure but don't know any myself.

The only concern I would have is that the paint underneath the graphics may not have faided as much as the rest of the car thus you may still see the outline of where the graphics were placed. If somebody does recommend a place maybe have a chat with them first to see if this can be a problem.

What car is it? Ie. how old is it and what are the graphics like? If it's on carzone any links.

It's a disaster sometime's when graphics are removed after being on for a few years.

    Its really easy to do.
Just get a hair drier and heat them, then peal them off nice and simple. then a rub down on any sticky residue with IPA or white sprits will have it spotless. if theres any paint fade then the car will need to be polished to get the paint matching again., any good body shop or valetors will be able to do that for you.,

It's the general rule of thumb, but then again it could be bigger etc. etc. Ah i dunno really, it's just alot of work.

A heat gun would be alot better than a hairdryer.

except people who are unfamiliar with them might burn the paint with it, so id rather reccomend a hair drier :)

Ah but who has a heat gun lol, everyone has a hair dryer. I remember a year or two ago, working on one of the cars, the father robbed the mothers hairdryer. Used it so much it burnt out. He put it back and said nothing. Needless to say, he got a right mouthful lol!

Its a 95 FTO , I dont have any links but its can be described as flames stretching from the front wing to the back . They look naff in my opinion but each to their own i guess.

Thanks guys I probably try get my hands on a heatgun because the graphics are quite large.

I'd be weary of the heat gun. Could be fairly damaging. How much is the car worth? It's a big risk to take off that much graphics, you don't know what's lurking beneath. Tough one.

Ah but try and avoid what can be avoided kinda thing. It's risky playing with paint and heat guns lol:D

    Quotes

"A heat gun can be a useful tool in various do it yourself projects. There are a variety of uses for a heat gun, but the most common use is paint stripping."

Dont bother, the hair drier will do the same job with less risk. ive used both myself.,

Make sure you get a good discount for "taking it off his hands".

Never understood people doing that to a car, unless they intend to keep it for ever - these tastes are so subjective.

I think the see-saw (time-new paint job) leans in the favour of time. Now you know what your getting into before you buy:D

No, it wont take any longer with a hair drier. you only have to heat the vinyl for a few seconds and then peal and heat as ya go along, if the graphic is in large pieces you can have it all off in a matter of minutes.,
Benefit to the hair drier is theres no risk of over doing it.,

Down side is, your f*&ked if yore missus only has a big pink GHD one or something, you'll look like a right molly outside the house with that., :D

I'll have to get my manly BRAUN 1250 turbo hair drier out (in matt black btw) to do the job :)

It good to know it wont take that long

The hair dryer works, i know because a heat gun broke on us and we needed to take the vinal decals off a 3 forty foot trailers, yeah sure it'll take you longer but it is do'able! Just heat it up and they'll peel off, really easy

You can get "sticker remover" liquid in Atlantic Homecare to remove the adhesive residue if you have problems finding the IPA.
