It's possible you will end up with a bigger headache after reading the replies to this thread than before you posted it. It's usually better to just contact a number of companies yourself, tell them what you need and make your decision based on that. Insurance quotes need to be personalised to your own preferences, asking others for a recommendation will be based on their preferences, individual circumstances etc...

If you really want my recommendation I recommend AXA. I have been with them for 10 years, my parents for about 30 years. Never ever had any hassle with them. The problem with this is that there will probably be a hundred people that will say they are the worst insurance company ever, as there would be if I had recommended Quinn, Hibernian or anyone else. See what I'm getting at?

Take what you hear here on board but at the end of the day there's no substitute for doing your own research.

id also recommend axa both from needing to use their claims department and then subsequently working there for a year and a bit

there are people who have had bad experiences but they are the vast vast minority when it comes to axa

they arent cheap though i think i remember being told when i was there that they were fficially the most expensive in ireland but that its because all the extras you have to have ask for with others are included automatically

if you wnt cheap go with quinn if you want good cover and service go with axa imo
