Thinking of upgrading my graphics card.
I have a 7900gs in a dell dimension 9200, Power Supply is limited to 375w and doesn't have spare 6 pin connectors.
    Any recommendations?

The PSU is only rated 375w but Dell rates theirs differently.
    It's actually close to 450w.
I had one of these and was easily running quad-core QX6700 and a 8800GTX in it.
You could get a ATI 4870 (1GB) and with that you get the extra 6 pin adapter with it..it just plugs into an ide power pin.

My psu can handle 30A (combined on the 12V rails).
The recommended for the 4800 series in 32A.
Also cannot afford the 4800 series.
So I'm thinking of getting a HD4670, would it be much faster than my current card? Is there any performace chart to compare the 2 cards?

You /might not have the 6 pin connecter but the card will usually come with Y-Cables to juice it up with 2x 4 pin cables (the ones for CD and HDD)

I put in an 8800GTS a few months ago and had no problems at all with the power supply.

4670 would be a nice upgrade from a 7900GS, it's much faster. But I'd say your PSU would be OK with either the 4850 or 4870: those recommended are always on the safe side.

What's your budget? If it's sub 100 then the 4670 is about as good as it gets - the 9600GSO is also slightly faster and within 100 but the performance gain is not reflected in the price difference really. Komplett currently have a HP 9600GT B Grade in stock for 85 euro - great performance with total silence, great deal.

Also another good price here - 9600GSO XXX - very fast card for 80 euro. You might want to look into that one though, XFX's old 8800GS cards (the 9600GSO are rebranded 8800GS) were set to 100% fan speed and it couldn't be adjusted - made for a very noisy system when I had 2 of them. Drove me mad when I was just surfing the web late at night.

My budget is around €150. Its either the 4850 or the 4670. I share the pc so I don't want to break it. About the 4670, I have read reviews that the sapphire version is noisy, always at 100% fan speed as you mentioned.
If i where to get a 4670 would a custom fan like a zalman vf700 or vf900 work with it? There is a powercolor version aswell but can't find any Irish suppliers.
