    Hey,
I need to purchase a backing track for a thing I'm doing - I've never used backing tracks before and it's not something I’m familiar with at all. Just wondering if anyone could recommend a site or place to get them? the best one and all that...
i'll need to put it on a cd so it'll need to be avi or mp3 or some kind of good quality sound file.

    Hi,

We use a lot of backing tracks with work. Just a simple search in google will give you a whole host of sites all with previews to give you a sample.

www.backingtracks.com being one of the first.

If you want to play guitar with them.

    www.guitarbackingtracks.com

    Google is the business

Should be banned, the devil's work.

Record your own if you're good enough.

    Keep music live.

I play in a two piece that use backing tracks myself, we'd love to have a bigger band but we just wouldn't make any money if we did.

I knew money would come into it.

The thing about using backing tracks is you're never going to get anywhere using them, you'll always be a two piece with backing tracks.

Most people are not even aware that they are being used, and think the one or two piece band are amazing! :o

i use Backing trax - SBi as listed above has a decent selection and gives performance rights also.

I sing R'n'b stuff or music i couldn't possibly re-create live... also, i dont play any instruments asuch.. so Backing trax are a blessing. Dont get me wrong, if i knew anybody who was excellent musician and could creat these sounds live and sounded amazing i'd go with that... but not the case so backing trax it is.
