Ran the NY marathon this year and that Queensboro bridge is a tough bitch.
Saying that I recommend the NY marathon to anyone.
Atmosphere was absolutely amazing and for my first one I was delighted I took part in it.
Got injured at the 13 mile marker and was limping badly after 17 miles but struggled on to finish in 6.40
Was disappointed with my time but was still delighted that I hit the wall and still made it to the finish.

Congrats on your achievement, particularly to finish in tough circumstances. If you're disappointed with your time, it gives you a good target for your second marathon.

I was at the NYC marathon, but unfortunately not participating. Experiencing the atmosphere in the city pushes it right to the top of my marathon wishlist.

Atmosphere was amazing...the crowds helped push me on towards the finish.
There was some amazing people out there from Larry The Lighthouse :D to the Firefighters in full gear with oxygen tanks plus a woman i was talking to and it was her 22nd NY marathon in a row. She started when she was 60 so she was 82 this year
