    www.safeaid.ie

They do CPR + Defib training as a single night of training. I thought it was great. First Aid, Red Cross in Limerick would be great. Will be going that way myself.

the limerick unit of the order of malta have just finished a five week first aid course tonight which was free*.

you could always volunteer with us and then put your first aid skills to use at racecourses, concerts ( on a national basis), sports events.

pretty soon we will be doing a AED refresher couurse for members. its an option to consider

Limerick Red Cross provide occupational first aid full and refresher courses you can check out www.redcross.ie for the calendar of courses under first aid training or else call them on 061 318580. The occupational first aid course includes aed/defibrillator use.

Once you do that you could stay on as a memeber and receive higher levels of training if you wish. We also at the moment provide the first aid cover for Thomond Park so if you can't get a ticket to a match you can do the duty :D

or if not much of a rugby fan and don't like to stand by the sideline at thomond park you could just stand in the rain at ''the largest outdoor concert which occurs annually in the midlands''........:D:D ( joke)

bottom line if you choose to join a First aid organisation you will recieve much more training than any course will give you.

Not much difference in the three mian organisations in limerick

Order of malta is the largest and covers many major events Irish open, major concerts, climbing Croagh Patrick. In limerick they wouldn't cover many sporting events to be honest although do cover all equestrian events.

From observation you would see the red cross at thomond park while you would see St johns at the gaelic grounds.

All three organistions would gladly take new members and all would partake in some form of community care.

Contacting any of the three would get you the information regarding courses.
