Get the hell out of this country and travel the world.
People who drink their life away are stupid, its a waste of money, if you arent in college get the best edcuation of your lifetime and go travel. Who knows you might settle somewhere and love it and want to stay!!

That or take up a course somewhere....

So what are you interested in?

You Havent got a job so have way too much time on your hands ahve got into a rut and basically need to lift yourself by your proverbial bootstrap and do something about it.

So there are plenty of alternatives to gambling and drinking
    1) Pursue an area of interest as a hobby.
    2) Look at an area of interest as a career and undertake the courses, workshops, degrees necessary to kick start your working career. If for example, you have registered for job seekers allowance or some such, look at FAS training courses
    3) Simply take off for a little while to get out of the same old routine.

In the end, its up to your own motivation to do it.
Personally i think this is a case of getting the work life balance correct from the other end of the spectrum.
Once you begin to alter small aspects you will begin to get out of the rut.
In other words follow your own advice in your signature

You sound like you're stuck in a bit of a rut. But you have a big advantage over other people in a similiar situation in that you have money to make a change. Do what the others said- head off travelling or the like. If you have plenty of money maybe go do some volunteer work for a while, it might put things into perspective for you
    Good luck!

    Some ideas:

    Do some charity work.

Set yourself some goals and challenges.

Go to a motivating personal development course.

    Learn a new skill...

    Go travelling.

Thanks for the advice. Im pretty sure I want to go travelling and maybe working abroad (maybe voluntary work). I was thinking of places to go and work and one idea that struck me would be working on a cruise ship. Anyone got any info on this? Also maybe some links to where I could get involved in charity work abroad?
    Cheers.

I don't think going to work on a cruise ship is what you need. It will basically involve working mad shifts, pressure environment and then drinkin the **** out of it in between and partying. Dont get me wrong great fun and all but you're trying to get away from the drinkin lifestyle for a bit by the sounds of it^^
